Daily Transfer Rumors - Jan. 26 - Motta Staying, Guarin Coming?

Posted by SacT0wn on January 26, 2012 at 1:30 PM

Muntari-Kucka swap is not going to take place now. Genoa said no because they are not convinced in a player who is going to be in a different team (Milan) at the end of season.

Genoa director: "Veloso is a Genoa player & he'll stay like so, just too important for us. Inter? There's no negotiation concerning Veloso."

Cavoni: "PSG are an option just like staying at Inter. Real problem is to figure out how important Motta is at Inter. However, he would not agree to remain only until June."

Beppe Bozzo to meet with Genoa to discuss Zarate's situation.

Luca Marchetti from Sky: “At this point we could expect that Inter will not do anything. Thiago Motta will only leave if there’s a replacement, but also the other clubs that Inter want to buy from would also need to find replacements so the Nerazzurri could not do anything.”

Chivu’s agent: “Renewal? There’s nothing certain. At the moment however, we don’t have any meeting scheduled with Inter so maybe we’ll talk about it at a later date in February or March after the Champions League. Resentment of this situation? Absolutely not. It is right for clubs to decide whether or not to renew contracts of their players.”

StudioSport: "PSG have only offered FIVE million for Thiago Motta."

Leo: "We're talking about Motta but we still do know what will happen in the next few days because to close it, it will be up to the will of Inter. Inter want to keep the player, we'll see, the market isn't closed yet. We still have time to talk. Motta is very attached at Inter so we must assess the situation. And honestly I don't know what will happen. He is a player that we are interested in but he's in the other team now."

Sky: "Inter have decided and they don't want to sell Motta. Not only that, they're moving slowing to open doors for Fredy Guarin. The right hand man of Porto President has arrived in Milan and he could meet with Inter to talk about Guarin."

Sky: Inter will now decide to loan out one of Castaignos and Coutinho. Bologna, Cesena, Everton and Liverpool want Castaignos. While there are a few Brazilian clubs that want Coutinho on loan like Internacional, Corinthians and Sao Paulo.

Motta's agent: "Negotiations are continuing. The player has said to Inter that he would like to go to PSG but he's happy in Milan. I believe that this operation is stuck because Ranieri does not want to let him go and also because Moratti does not agree. The President isn't totally convinced from a financial point of view. I think you will know Motta's fate between tomorrow and Saturday, whether he'll stay or go."

From Brazil: Last Thursday, Branca was at dinner with Lucas, his agent Wagner Ribeiro and the boy's parents. Luca's agent repeated his will of staying at San Paolo but they are open for a transfer in the next transfer window in the summer. The dinner between Branca and Lucas's agents was an important step but not big enough to create enthusiasm.
