SNEIJDER AND ALVAREZ RETURN WORKING IN GROUP

Ranieri to count on the recovery of two playmakers for Sunday.

Today, test for Samuel while Maicon to miss Novara game due to suspension.

Milan - The face-to-face between Ranieri and the players will take place this afternoon as the team returning on the field after the defeat against Roma.  The medical staff will be working hard regarding the conditions of Walter Samuel who left the Olimpico with a problem at the quadriceps that prevented him from playing in the second half of that game.  Depending on the conditions of the Argentinian, the team will decide whether to submit more tests.

Alternative to Maicon So the defender remains doubtful for the game on Sunday against Novara.  The one certainty is the absence of Maicon who is on a one-game suspension.  The alternatives to the Brazilian are lacking however from Faraoni, Nagatomo with Chivu on the left and Zanetti on the right.

Ricky and Wes in group Ranieri is hoping for the return of Alvarez and Sneijder, the two players that can light up the team in the darkness.  Both today should return training in group with Stankovic and Forlan.  Inter will take a very cautious approach on the last two so much so that the Uruguayan could postpone his return to the 17th against Bologna in view of the Champions League on the 22 in Marseille.

Guarin calm Longer recovery time is needed for Fredy Guarin who could not be used in the Champions League because of the two games he played in the group stage with Porto.  The Colombian should return in time from Portugal to continue therapies for his injury which was badly treated during his time at Porto.  It is difficult for Ranieri to have him in 20 days.  "I want to return very soon," he wrote on Twitter.  "The new shirt number will be revealed on the day of presentation.  "My" 13? It's Maicon's."
