Moratti: "Mariga is the best thing that could happen.  Ledesma? I'm sorry for him.  Mancini? Jankulovski said no."

Massimo Moratti commented on the last, frenetic market day of Inter:

President, Mariga is a big surprise?
"Yes, and he seems to be an interesting player.  He is a young player with excellent potentials and I think that the best thing that can happen to us."

Amantino Mancini to Milan, is this a sign of peace after the recent rifts before and after the derby with the Rossoneri?

"There have never been rifts.  I must say that the disagreement does not exist and this operation demonstrates how, precisely, the two clubs get along."

With an exchange Inter could get Marek Jankulovski?

"Yes, he was an exchange.  He is an intelligent player but he has said no to us.  We respect this decision and that's the fact why the deal could not be concluded."

Regarding Ledesma, perhaps the two clubs couldn't reach an agreement?

"I think the deadline has passed now, so yes, the agreement was not reached."

You also could get Simplicio on loan, what happened?
"It is a pity, but in the meantime, we have initiated a conversation with Mariga.  And the transaction made with Parma satisfy me."
