Mourinho: "We Expect 15 Crazy Days. A National Team Coach? I'm Still Young"

Posted by anonymous on May 11, 2010 at 7:01 PM

The coach from London: "It's hard to think about Siena when the Champions League final is near."

From London, where he is participating at the World Fooball Gala, Mourinho speaks again, after releasing a statement via the official website of Inter, by answering some questions of Sky Sport.  "The World Cup? I'm not thinking about it since it coincides with my vacation - he said.  At that time I just want to rest and sleep.  And I'm too young to think about making selections for a national team.  It is something which I think about at the end of my career.  Now I'm strong enough to be able to run 3-4 competitions together."

He also makes some statements for the rest of the season.  "We expect 15 crazy days and it is not easy to be concentrated on the game with Siena when we are facing Bayern Munich in the Champions League final.  Italian football?  I love my players and my fans, not Italian football..."

"Delante suyo quedaron jugadores como Bolatti (hoy suplente en la Fiorentina) y Mercier, sin experiencia internacional" This is a quote of Olé, an important argentinian sport newspaper.
"Instead of them (Cambiasso and Zanetti) are players like Bolati, not even a starter in Fiorentina, Mercier (Argentinos juniors) with zero international experience."
BTW Lisandro Lopez (recently named the best player of the French league season 09/10) is not on the list. Maradona chose Lavezzi over him.

Why did players like Jesus Datolo, Bolatti and Gutierrez (this dude is a Newscastle player for god's sake) make it and not the two most consistent players for Inter?!??!

Maradona was on drugs when he stripped the captaincy away from Zanetti and he is sure on drugs now.

Scuttlebutt is that Maradona doesn't like Zanetti because Javi undermines his authority. I dont know what the deal is with Cambiasso. All I can think of is that Cuchu had a bad game that one time he was called up... Nerves?

What I think is nuts, though, is that he still calls up Veron. Oh well. He has made his bed and now he will have to lay in it.

So Maradona has selected his squad for the WC. No Cambiasso, no Zanetti. No title. What a moron!
