Serie A: Inter 3-1 Fiorentina

Posted by anonymous on May 8, 2011 at 8:32 AM

vs.

This is a good win especially with Materazzi, Kharja and Chivu starting.

Pazzini has proved to us once again that if you give him service, he'll do good.

Very good game for Coutinho.  In the first half, he was flawless by creating mad shit for the Fiorentina players.  In the second half, he had a few mispasses but I thought his defensive efforts really stood out.  I can remember the three important tackles that he had in the second half alone.  And that free kick was just perfect.  How the hell is this his first 90 minute game in ages and yet Kharja got another full game?  I don't get it and for that I hate Leonardo.  FORZA INTER.

This maybe sounds crazy. But I think, I will blame Mourinho. This season failure is started from him. Because, he left us not in the right time. He left us when there is no good coach available to replace him. And then (as you know), Moratti was forced to choice Rafa (Actually he was not a bad coach, but not the right one for Inter).

Rafa really screwed up because he didn't do his homework in researching the squad. You cannot come in and treat a older squad like Inter's who had just completed their greatest season ever and treat them like 19 year olds who don't know what they are doing. he came in with one way of doing things and the players did not play for him. Basically the players said fuck this and turned off. I beieve he is a good coach but that was clearly a tragic mistake.

Rafa put us in a hole and the team and Leo have attempted to dig themselves out of. Don't froget Leo's gone his entire tenure without our best defender(Samuel) available. He's not a prefect coach, but we've had better coaches at inter do far worst.

@sacT0wn - I personally place the blame for our failure this season on Leonardo . Yes Rafas time here was not great but if you remember around January we were only about 3 points behind Milan. When the big games came Leonardo failed miserably. There is no excuse for Inter - defending European champions to lose 7-3 on aggregate to Schalke, a mid table german team considering that Man Utd dicked on Schalke with their subs bench in the 2nd leg of their semi. We have been getting lucky with our results in previous weeks. We got very lucky against cesena. Also how can anyone defend the fact that we've been leaking goals like crazy .
under Leo. Rafa has been made a scapegoat but I disagree? It disturbs me that we may have another season with tactically ignorant Leo as our manager.

Leo obviously has seen something in COutinho that makes him wary of giving starts. Believe Cou even said himself he needs to get stronger and faster. Every manager has players that they act a bit odd with. See Mourinho and Arnautovic last season. That said thrilled to see cou get his first goal.

Great win. PAZZZZOOOOO

I think that can't bring the same performance on left as on right... earlier this season he was better on the right, too.

Cou is just not the same player in the second half so far.

Oh, I didn't see him... Nice comparison, btw. :D
We have luck that Fiorentina are not that dangerous, Materazzi is really really bad.
In the attack, I like Coutinho and the work of Maicon... And Pazzini is just Pazzini ^^

where are lucio and nagatomo???? nice that coutinho gets playing time, but materazzi and chivu? i'm like shivering...

Lucio is on the bench and for Nagatomo, I think he has a flu or something.

The negatives of starting Materazzi and Chivu really overshadow Cou in the lineup. It's fucked it up big time. It's like having a foursome with Scarlett Johansson, Rosie O'Donell and her Pizza delivery guy. It's not right...

But on a serious note, Cou has been quite good in the first half. Yes, he slipped and fucked it up once but he did a lot of positive things for us.
