Here are his first words in the post game press conference in Abu Dhabi: "I am very happy. I want to dedicate this title to those who have always had faith in us, my family in Spain and England, Walter Samuel and anyone who helped us getting here and did well. Now it wll be a quieter period but I need to move forward with full support if we want to improve from here."
He then stopped by again to clarify these heavy words. "With support I mean first of all we need to involve in the market. I have spoken with Moratti and he knows about it. I need to have control of what players do. If I have this support, then we can move forward and win again, otherwise you will always speak of the guilt and how the team is not growing."
Minutes passed. Benitez adds more to his statements. "I deserve respect. I took all the blame and all the responsibility but the club promised me 3 players in August. Nobody came. No there are three possible ways: either the team continues this project and buys four players at once in January, or we can move forward with the coach as the only one that is at fault, or the president can talk to my agent and find another solution."
Benitez did not forget to stress the problems of the team. "Right now the players are still not at their best physically because many just came back from injuries. The reasons of these incidents are accurate and it is because the advanced age of this team. Then over the past two years, players have been squeezed and they have been following a program of work in the gym. Obviously, these are the results. We did what we had, things will improve in training."

==========
Either he is gone within a few weeks or we have some new players. But I kinda like this talk from Benitez. At least he has the balls to say these things and stop being a nice guy at the same time.
