No one can say this was a surprise. All posts here are spot on too.

Good news is that today's story has Moratti saying it's time to rebuild the squad this summer. Only 1 1/2 years too late. I will give Moratti some slack because of all the gifts he has brought to Inter fans over the years. But please don't do a half-assed rebuilding job this time. Get rid of the old and bring the new. No player should be immune. Bring in young players from the primavera and buy experienced players just going into their primes. I want to see Inter back to playing great football.

Thats what I'm saying, Chainsaw. If we played extra half today and still couldn't win this match, it would badly affect us against Atalanta on the weekends in terms of fitness -- our players are old. And even if we made it to quarter final, who can say we wouldn't be humiliated like Basel or Leverkusen? Better to concentrate on what we can -- climbing up the league table. Hope Napoli qualifies against Chelsea as it would distract them to some extent from the league. I think we can still overtake Udinese and Lazio, but Napoli is really strong.

The game was awful. Both team were awful in both legs actually. It's quiet sarcastic you can't say which team between these two were more awful to deserve to be eliminated. But since the one side of the story is the old finished Inter with that joke of a manager, I'm happy we're out. At least this could finally make Moratti to sack Ranieri and on the other hand the team can focus solely on the league now. God knows what could happen to Inter if we were going to meet a stronger team in the next stage if we were going to qualify.

Ranieri should have changed Nagatomo with Obi, and have Zanetti play on the left back. Anyways, let's look at the bright side. Even if we had qualified today, with Ranieri and this poor quality squad we would have had no hopes against the likes of Bayern, Barcelona, Real, Milan or even Benfica. It's better to concentrate on league clining on to the thin hope of finishing 3rd. I hope Guarin would really add some freshness to our squad.
